Assistant Professor Andrea Barbon and colleagues have designed a website that allows donors to give several charities by using #NFT and #blockchain technology. Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) are a type of digital asset that are unique and can be easily verified as authentic. The list of NGOs includes Save the Children, Coral Restoration Foundation, Fondazione Umberto Veronesi, Global Impact, and the International Medical Corps.

Each gift card generated is then unique and can be sent digitally to anyone through the underlying technology. These NFTs are fully “on-chain”, meaning that each card is a one-of-a-kind digital asset that is verified on the blockchain, and users can send those cards to their beloved ones while attesting that they have donated to a good cause.

This seems to be the first time that allows donors to receive a custom NFT certifying their donation. It’s a great opportunity for charities to raise money from the broader digital community and NFT enthusiasts. And for users, an excellent way to spread some holiday cheer while supporting a good cause. For more information or to make a donation, visit: https://donate-xmas.com/
