Julian Kölbel works as an Assistant Professor in Sustainable Finance at the Center for Financial Services Innovation at the University of St.Gallen (FSI-HSG). He is Swiss Finance Institute (SFI) Faculty Member and a research fellow at MIT Sloan, where he is co-founder of the Aggregate Confusion Project. His research focuses on the real-world impacts of sustainable investing, the analysis of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics, and investor preferences for sustainability. Julian studied at ETH Zurich and the University of Oxford and did post-doctoral work at MIT Sloan. Professionally, he has worked at Bank Vontobel and RepRisk AG and is currently a member of the investment committee of the Swiss pension fund Abendrot.
